You can also cook celery by adding ingredients such as potatoes, quince, onions or peas.
How to Make Celery Recipe with Olive Oil?
Peel the celery. Set aside the leaves and stems, if any. Dice the peeled celery. Soak in lemon water so that it does not darken.
Peel the carrots as well and chop them into half a moon.
Wash the celery stalks and leaves you have reserved and chop them into tiny little ones.
Heat half the olive oil in a large-bottomed saucepan. Sauté the chopped carrots for 2-3 minutes.
Continue sautéing for another 1-2 minutes, adding the celery.
Add the celery stalks and leaves.
Add the lemon juice, orange juice and water to the pan.
Add the lemon zest and salt.
Once boiling, add the other half of the olive oil and leave to cook until the celery is tender over a low-medium heat, with the lid of the pan closed.
When cooked after about 30-35 minutes, check with the tip of the knife if the celery is cooked. If it’s cooked, remove it from the heat. Serve warm if desired, if you wish, after resting at room temperature. Enjoy your meal!
